Next week is the period break so there are little to no classes at the university and many are taking this as a chance to have a short holiday. So we're not going to have a debate meeting either next Tuesday on March 1st.

Meeting, 15th of February
Hi everyone!
Yesterday we had another fast-paced meeting starting with an exercise and continuing to a full debate of eight people. I'd like to remind everyone that the meeting starts at 5 pm sharp. Lately people have been showing up late so we can't start a full debate right away.
Anyway, the exercise we did meant basically working as a group to think of as many government and opposition points as possible for one motion. We used the motion "THBT arranged marriages should be outlawed" and we did find a lot of things both for and against! I definitely think we should do this more often.
The actual debate motion we chose was "THW ban television advertisements aimed at children". Very surprisingly the debate ended up being "girls vs guys" with girls defending the motion on the gov side and the guys opposing. I sincerely think this was one of the most interesting and even debates we've had for a while! Special thanks to our first-timers who also did a great job.
